FAQs

Do you do custom orders?

I do, and if I am taking any on currently there will be Deposit Slots listed in my shop for purchase, please read the description thoroughly. It is best if you find a jumper you'd like me to work on first.

Do you only work on knitwear?

No, I can work on denim and other thicker fabrics. I have plans to do a range of denim jackets and hats towards Spring 2024.

What's your turn around time?

It depends on the time of year, 3-6 weeks is usual. If you have an urgent request though, please reach out.

Can you remake a design that's been sold?

Yes, however I can't guarantee they will be identical.

What colours can I choose from?

Any. I have LOTS of yarn, and I'm always happy to buy more if I don't have the exact shade.

Will you copy a design I've seen elsewhere?

I will not knowingly copy another maker as I don't believe that's good practice. I'm happy to take inspiration from other designs you've seen but won't do a carbon copy unfortunately. If you screenshot me a knit to copy, I won't make it identical.

Is there a limit to what I can have?

Yes and no. I usually do my designs on the back of the knit as there's more room for creativity, but I can do them on the front, arms and all over, but please bear in mind the more you have the more time it will take and the price will go up depending on the complexity/amount of work.

How much is it?

My ready made knits are priced already and are uploaded to the website as and when I make them. Custom knits are harder to quote without any information from you. The price consists of the cost of the knit you want + my design (worked out by the size and the amount of yarn) + £2.50 postage.

Complex designs will inevitably lead to a higher price, as will using new knitwear. I do try to price myself fairly, and I don't pay myself a set rate for the time it takes (fortunately, as some of the designs take me over 10 hours over the course of 3/4 days). I can provide a quote before you order.

Which yarns do you use?

I use a variety of brands but tend to stick to GOTS certified organic cotton.
